Improving the Quality of Life Through Recreation

Funds

Voters approved the following in May, 2002:
  • a two million dollar construction bond to build the Recreation Center, and
  • a one million dollar levy to cover operations for the South Park Recreation District
Construction of the initial phase(s) of the facility was funded by the bond, and initial operations of the facility was funded by the South Park Recreation District (Government Body) and in part by memberships and programming revenue.

Additional and ongoing funding alternatives will be pursued to complete and enhance all aspects of the facility.

The South Park, Parks and Recreation District aims to enrich the lives of as many members as possible, in our community, by providing the biggest diversification of recreational and social opportunities that our resources and imagination will allow. We may be small, but we aim to grow in quantity and quality.
