How long have you lived in the district (South Park Parks and Recreation District)?

7 years

What is your occupation?

Retired Law Enforcement

How often do you use the South Park Rec Center?

Recently rejoined after pandemic events.

What is your vision for the South Park Parks and Recreation District and the South Park Recreation Center?

I would like to be a part of bringing more activities to the Rec Center that include adult leagues, sports camps for school aged kids and continue to lean towards a community supported/involved center. In doing so, hope to expand the SPRC to accommodate these events.

Why do you want to be a Board Member and what do you feel you can bring to the district?

I joined the SPRC days after moving to Fairplay over seven years ago. I have enjoyed every aspect of my membership. I have coached volleyball at SPHS at the varsity and now middle school level. There is a huge interest in sports camps for school age kids to spark interest and learn skills at the elementary school level. Adult volleyball once flourished at the High School gymnasium but unfortunately no longer exists. Just would like to take the interests of the community and see if we can endorse and follow through with making SPRC a place community members recreational needs are served.

Why are you the best candidate for this office?

I’m a good candidate because I am a team player, dependable, and value new ideas and visions to better serve our community.
