South Park Recreation Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced youth football coach to foster a positive and competitive environment where athletes can develop their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. Grizzlies is a recreational football program for kids in grades 2nd-5th.

This position is part time and will be roughly August 1st-October 30th.  The right candidate lives, works and plays in the community and surrounding areas we serve.

Job Description:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the football program, including practices, games, and a football camp
• Develop and implement effective coaching strategies and techniques to enhance player performance and team cohesion
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes both on and off the field, promoting academic success, character development, and leadership skills
• Collaborate with other coaches, staff members, and administrators to ensure the overall success and integrity of the athletic program
• Foster a culture of respect, discipline, and sportsmanship among players, coaches, and supporters
• Uphold and enforce all league rules and regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate athletes
• Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents and community stakeholders
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certificate before the season starts
• Ability to obtain Mandatory Reporter and HeadsUp concussion training certificates before the season starts
• Pass a Colorado/Federal Bureau of Investigation background check

Hourly Range & Benefits:

• Competitive commission based pay starts at 60% of all program registrations, with opportunity for advancement
• Free Rec Center pass for the duration of the football season
